Kyoya Izayoi must go forth to avenge the death of his father, killed trying to stop the evil sorcerer Rebi Rah. Accompanied by the world's president's beautiful daughter Sayaka, Kyoya must survive the hazards of Shinjuku Monster City and master the power of nempo within him to kill Rebi Rah and stop his evil plans.
The 1988-released anime was also distributed as Demon City Shinjuku; Hell City Shinjuku (US) and Monster City (UK). It is based on the novel by Kikuchi Hideyuki, with screenplay by Okamura Kaori, and direction of Kawajiri Yoshiaki (Wicked City, Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust!).
